Kota Kita Nanti

Kota Kita Nanti is Initiative project by Goethe-Institut to invite 12 local practitioners from various fields/professions (from art, design, environment, social sciences, and technology) to discuss, share and reflect on the shifting value/perspective during post-pandemic era. The output of this project is to create a book that compile various activities/skill set that can be adapted by public for current and future use.

The pandemic at the beginning of 2020 limited activities in public spaces, but this situation has shaped creative initiatives for each individual to share their activities to be productive, such as gardening, food recipes, types of craftsmanship, and others on social media/other platforms. From there, several practitioners were selected who had diverse and inspiring activities to be poured into books so that they could be disseminated to a wider public. From the perspective of the Kota (as a place to live and play), Kita (to tell and show the story of practitioners as a citizen of Bandung city), and Nanti (about goals that can be done for the future).

Kota Kita Nanti’s book was based on the diversity of topics discussed by each practitioner. Therefore the booklet was designed as a separate booklet to give space for each practitioner to tell about their activities. The cover design was inspired by Mr. A.D Pirous’s process of making art using photos and collages. Reflections on the activities of the 12 practitioners are included on the cover of the booklet with a collage of their photos.
